Nominations for the Alberta Business Awards of Distinction now open

Nominations for the Alberta Business Awards of Distinction are now open.

This year, there is 12 different award to be won. In order to be nominated, you must be a member of a local Chambers of Commerce in Alberta.

President and CEO of the Alberta Chambers of Commerce, Shauna Feth says that by winning one of these awards, the marketing possibilities are endless.

“It really helps to ensure businesses understand the value of the chamber network, but also how they can leverage that award in their own community for marketing purposes,” she said.

In 2025, two Grande Prairie businesses took home awards; Koolios ( Young Entrepreneur Award,) and The Work Place ( Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Award.)

Feth says even if you have won an award previously, you are still eligible to win again.

This years’ award ceremony will take place in Edmonton, Feth mentioned that the ceremony is one of her favorites that the Chambers puts on annually.

“It’s one of my favorites event’s that we do, just because it is purely about celebration, and celebrating businesses in Alberta. And, the huge impact’s that these small, medium, and large enterprises are having on the landscape of Alberta.”

Nominations are open until March 23rd. You have the choice nominate yourself or someone that you know. The nomination application can be found on their website.
