Rangers Thumped On Home Ice

The Vegreville Rangers returned to the Wally Fedun Arena for the first time in the new year on Saturday night but unfortunately, it wasn’t a celebratory type of evening. The Boys In Blue fell 13-4 to the visiting Lloydminster Bandits, seeing their NEAJBHL record fall to 1-26. With just a few weeks left in the regular season, Coach Trevor Ogrodnick says they’re looking to keep competing and building towards next season.

Next up for the Rangers is a visit to St. Paul on Friday night. Their next home action takes place on Saturday when they host Cold Lake.

Kaylum Roberts (#19) had a big night for the Rangers, scoring twice and adding an assist.
With the loss, the Rangers drop to 0-4 against Lloydminster this season, being outscored 41-9 in those games.
Starting netminder Andrew Bezaire had a rough night between the pipes, surrendering seven goals on just 22 shots before being pulled.
