Due to recent heavy rainfall, the Viking and District Agricultural Society has postponed the Alberta Professional Chuckwagon and Chariot Association races that were due to take place this weekend. The event has been rescheduled for August 21st, 22nd, and 23rd. 

The Alberta Professional Chuckwagon and Chariot Association is gearing up to host three days of chuckwagon races in Viking from July 3rd to the 5th. The weekend will include beer gardens, food trucks, and activities hosted by the Viking Royal Purple Association.

Canada’s oldest one day pro rodeo the Bruce Stampede is gearing up its 111th season this month. The event has been happening every summer in the Village of Bruce, Alberta since 1914.

It’s also a weekend of chuckwagon racing happening in the Town of Viking.

The Cloverlodge Stampede is making its return to the Town of Viking this July.

Chuckwagon season is officially here!

Chuckwagon season is just around the corner and as the province prepares for all the action, we here in Vegreville are gearing up for our first event with the Dash to Summer, happening on May 30th, 31st, and June 1st.
