The Alberta Professional Chariot & Chuckwagon Association officially wrapped up the 2026 season, holding their awards night over the weekend. The event was a chance to recognize not only this year’s winners but the families and organizations that help to make the sport what it is. Vegreville’s Dwayne Dubuc took home the 2026 Chuckwagon Championship, beating out Jim O’Connor by just ten points. This year’s champ says early on, it definitely didn’t look like a winning season.
Dubuc is no stranger to the APCCA Chuckwagon Championship, having previously won the title in 2025 and 2018. The Chariot Championship went to Darren Twerdochlib, his third straight chariot title.
