Each year 700 to 800 participants from high schools and post-secondary institutions head to Edmonton to display their abilities in the provincial Skills Canada Alberta competition.
Manager of Communications Victoria Anderson says their hope is just to showcase that the skilled trades offer super rewarding and high demand careers for young people.
Anderson goes on to say that Olds College will be hosting the Landscape Skills Competition on March 28th and 29th.
The Skills Canada Alberta provincials are in the capital city on May 6th and 7th.
