Vegreville Legion to host Celebration Gala to commemorate 100th anniversary this month

The Vegreville Legion is proud to join other branches from around the country to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Legion this year.

As a commemoration of its legacy, branches from across Canada will be participating in special initiatives and activities throughout 2026, including sharing stories from the past and hosting events that will bring Canadians together.

Here in Vegreville, our local branch is preparing to host a Celebration Gala on Friday, July 17th.

President of the Vegreville Legion branch Terry Kuzyk says that the Royal Canadian Legion is also offering free membership to new members who join this year. He goes on say that anyone who is interested in joining our local legion branch would be very welcome.

For more information or to become a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, you can visit our local branch at 52nd Avenue here in Town, or visit legion.ca.

To purchase tickets for the upcoming Celebration Gala, you can call 780-208-2300, or send an email to rclbr39@telus.net. Ticket cost per person is $45.
