Formal recall petition set in motion against MLA Jackie Armstrong-Homeniuk

The first steps toward a possible formal recall petition has been set in motion against Fort Saskatchewan-Vegreville MLA Jackie Armstrong-Homeniuk.

The petition was submitted by Edwin Laarz, a resident of the constituency. On December 8th, Chief Electoral Officer Gordon McClure confirmed that the application meets the requirements for approval of a recall petition.

Jackie Armstrong-Homeniuk has seven days from this date to make a statement.

Once officially issued by Elections Alberta, the recall petition will require 14,688 signatures from eligible voters in the constituency to trigger a by-election.

Additional information and updates will be posted to the official recall website at www.recalljackie.ca.
