Vegreville Votes: Candidate for Councillor Marielle Brodziak

1. Why should people vote for you in this election?

As a long-time resident and dedicated community leader in Vegreville, I care deeply about our town’s growth, vitality, and future. My decision to seek re-election as Town Councillor is driven by a steadfast commitment to public service and a genuine desire to ensure every resident feels heard, respected, and valued.  With proven experience in leadership and collaboration, I’m ready to serve with integrity, accountability, and a genuine passion for our town. Together, we can shape a future that reflects the values and aspirations of Vegreville.

As YOUR representative, you can expect:

• Commitment and respect
• Personal integrity and positive leadership
• Fair and honest representation

What matters to you, matters to me.

Thank you for your past support. I’m once again asking for your trust and your vote to represent YOUR VEGREVILLE.

• YOUR VOICE • YOUR VALUES • YOUR VEGREVILLE •

2. If elected, what’s one thing that you hope to accomplish?

If elected, one of my top priorities will be to actively seek funding sources from Federal and Provincial governments and invest in opportunities to create more programs and spaces for youth, seniors, and families. Our community thrives when all generations feel supported and engaged.

We urgently need additional seniors’ health care/housing facilities to ensure our elders can remain in Vegreville—their home—for their remaining years. Aging in place isn’t just a matter of comfort; it’s a matter of dignity and community continuity.

At the same time, our youth deserve access to safe, enriching activities and spaces that promote physical, mental, and social well-being.

A vibrant, inclusive town attracts and retains residents, which directly fuels economic development. More seniors mean increased demand for health professionals. More students mean more teachers and educational resources. When people choose to live here, they bring energy, talent, and investment that benefit everyone.

By focusing on intergenerational support and smart development, we can build a Vegreville that’s not only sustainable—but truly exceptional.
