Cold Lake will join Canadians nationwide for eighth annual Canadian Walk for Veterans

Cold Lake is joining Canadians nationwide this weekend for the eighth annual Canadian Walk for Veterans, taking place September 20–21.

Organized by the True Patriot Love Foundation, the event raises awareness and funds to support Veterans, active service members, and their families, with proceeds going to programs like mental health services, physical rehabilitation, and transition support. The 2025 theme, “Veteran Transition: Honoring the Past, Supporting the Journey,” emphasizes community and compassion. Locally, the Cold Lake Walk benefits the Cold Lake Legion, which raised over $3,000 last year.

Canadians can participate in-person or virtually, with all registered walkers receiving the official 2025 challenge coin. For locations, registration, or to donate, visit canadianwalkforveterans.com.
