Those looking to get involved in a new hobby might be interested in an event called the Beginner’s Drum Circle hosted by locally owned and operated organization Awaken Events. Founder of the company Carmen Rae Bruce says that this gathering is a great opportunity for those who may have considered an activity like drumming, but haven’t had the chance to participate or don’t know where to start.
Bruce adds that there are many benefits to drumming, including a sense of connection with yourself and others.
The Beginner’s Drum Circle is set to take place on Monday, June 17th from 7pm to 9pm at the Vegreville Agricultural Society. Drums will be provided to participants. Cost per person is $25, and the event is aimed at people ages 16 and older. Registration for the Beginner’s Drum Circle is required by June 15th.
