Dash To Summer Goes This Weekend

The Vegreville Ag Society grounds will be abuzz with activity this weekend as the Dash To Summer returns. Shane Cartier is the chuckwagon chairman for the Ag Society and says the event is always a favourite on the local calendar. This year’s event gets underway with a busy Friday.

This weekend is also the first of 14 stops for the Alberta Professional Chuckwagon & Chariot Association this summer. Cartier, who is also a driver on the circuit, says kicking things off on his home track is always special.

Gates open at 3:00 pm on Friday with the official grand re-opening of the grandstand at 5:30 pm. Chariots get underway at 6:00 pm with chuckwagons to follow at 7:30 pm. If you can’t make it out for the action, you can still catch our coverage of the chuckwagons right here on Country 106.5.
