Vegreville FCSS encourages community members to spend time with local seniors this October

National Seniors Day is happening this Thursday, October 1st.

To celebrate, Vegreville and District Family and Community Support Services will be hosting a coffee session called Make Time for a Senior, taking place on Thursday from 11am to noon at the Vegreville Centennial Library.

Community Development Facilitator for the Town of Vegreville Elizabeth Koehler-Lenko says that it’s the perfect opportunity to build connections with other community members.

She goes on to say that in addition to the coffee session, FCSS is encouraging people to make time to visit, call, or learn from a senior throughout the month of October and share what they’ve learned with the organization.

To submit your experience or keep up to date with this campaign, be sure to visit the Vegreville and District FCSS on Facebook.
