The 46th Annual Terry Fox Run will take place across Canada and in Vegreville this coming weekend

The Annual Terry Fox run is set to take place this Sunday, September 20th. This yearly event has become a fall tradition in Canada, with more than 650 communities across the country fundraising for cancer research.

Locally, the Kinette Club of Vegreville is preparing to host the Run this weekend. Organizer of the event Brandy Stephan says that she hopes to see as many people as possible come on out to support the continued funding of cancer research and the legacy that Terry Fox left behind.

You can register for the 2026 Terry Fox Run online by visiting terryfox.org, or stop by the Vegreville Aquatic and Fitness Centre by 9:30am this Sunday. The Run will begin at 10am and will happen rain or shine.

For additional information, you can visit the Kinette Club of Vegreville Facebook page.
