Mounties Seeking Public Assistance Following Theft At Bank In Chauvin

Wainwright RCMP are seeking assistance from the public after the theft of a safe.

On Friday, May 24th at about 4:50am, police say the ATB bank in the Village of Chauvin, Alberta was broken into.

Mounties say a stolen Ford F350 was used, significant damage was done to the building, and the safe was taken.

According to Wainwright RCMP, the truck was found abandoned on Township Road 422, south of Chauvin, where the suspects were picked up by a newer model brown Dodge Ram.

Anyone with footage of the area surrounding the ATB bank at the time of last Friday’s break in, as well as the area surrounding the abandoned truck, is asked to contact Wainwright RCMP at 780-8424461, your local police, or CRIMESTOPPERS.
