Jays Drop To 3rd After Loss In Regular Season Finale

The Vegreville Blue Jays closed out their Powerline Baseball League regular season schedule on Tuesday, falling 11-5 to the visiting Armena Royals. It’s a tough loss for the Birds who went from a possible first place finish to ending the year in third, meaning they’ll start the postseason on the road. In the first round, they’ve drawn those very same Armena Royals. Veteran outfielder Alan Ziegler says they know what to expect from their longtime rivals and they need to get off to a quick start in game one.

The Jays and Royals start their first round series Thursday night in Armena.
