The Base excited to provide summer programming for Vegreville’s younger community members

The Vegreville and District FCSS youth resource hub The Base has been busy this summer.

The organization specializes in providing programming and services to younger community members aged 12 to 25 in the Vegreville area.

In addition to regular programming, the organization is looking forward to a number of special events this month, including a free four-day workshop for younger residents aged 18 to 25 from July 20th to 23rd, and a Community Talent Show for all ages on July 25th.

Youth Program Facilitator for the FCSS and The Base Crystal Clarke says that continuing to provide services for younger community members throughout the summer months is vitally important.

“We think it’s so beneficial. It gets them out of the house, it gives them a place to feel safe and belong, meet new people, and make new friends. It’s all about connection in our community, and that’s exactly what we’re happy to do and provide for the youth and young adults in Vegreville.”

To keep up to date on the services and programming that The Base provides, you can follow them on their social media platforms on Facebook, Instagram and Tik Tok under The Base Vegreville.
