Blue Jays Bounce Braves

The Vegreville Blue Jays improved their Powerline Baseball League record to 6-2 on Tuesday night, with a 10-0 thumping of the visiting Tofield Braves. Kyle Muzechka led the way on the hill with three shutout innings. Randall Ziegler and Grayson Soprovich each threw a scoreless inning in relief to finish things off for the Birds. The Jays got off to a hot start, leading 8-0 after two innings. Ziegler says it was good to get things rolling early.

The Jays will be busy next week. Tuesday night sees the team visit the Rivals before a Wednesday night double-header in Camrose.

Kyle Muzechka’s strong season continued with three innings of one-run, shutout baseball.
Slugging first baseman Zak Lang provided a steady hand at the plate, driving in several runs in Tuesday’s victory.
