Strathcona County RCMP Respond To Incident At Salisbury Composite High School In Sherwood Park

Strathcona County RCMP responded to an incident at a local high school on Thursday, May 23rd.

Just before 10:20am on Thursday, Strathcona County RCMP received a report of an incident at Salisbury Composite High School in Sherwood Park.

According to a press release, two male youths were involved in an altercation with a student, resulting in the deployment of bear spray.

Police say Strathcona County Emergency Services provided immediate medical attention to the student and no other students were injured.

Mounties point out that afterwards their patrols led to the arrest of the two male youths responsible for deploying the bear spray.

Strathcona County RCMP are confirming that there is no ongoing threat to public safety, and the situation has been resolved.

Restrictions outlined in the Youth Criminal Justice Act prevent further details regarding the individuals involved from being disclosed at this time.
