Vegreville Streetscapes Awards returns for 2nd year

The Vegreville Garden Club is once again hosting the Vegreville Streetscapes Awards this summer.

Judges from the Club will be on the lookout for visually appealing yards throughout Town, assessing spaces for overall design, general maintenance, and originality.

President of the Vegreville Garden Club Sheila Steinbach says that these awards were put in place to celebrate community members who help in beautifying our Town.

“There are a lot of great gardeners in Vegreville, and they’re not always acknowledged. I don’t know if it’s humility holding them back, or if they don’t want to have the spotlight on them, but, I think that we should acknowledge all the hard work and all the time it takes to make a beautiful yard.”

Nominations for the Vegreville Streetscapes Awards are now open until July 15th. To learn more, you can stop by the Vegreville Agricultural Society office, or send an email to vegrevillegardenclub@gmail.com.
