Blue Jays Suffer First Loss Of The Season

After a 3-0 start in the Powerline Baseball League, the Vegreville Blue Jays are unbeaten no more. The Birds dropped an 8-3 decision on Tuesday, falling to the defending champion Rosalind Athletics at Ziegler Field. Zak Lang had another big night for the Jays, hitting a pair of homeruns in the loss. With three homeruns in his first two home games of the year, the slugging first baseman says he’s feeling good.

The loss puts Vegreville at 3-1 on the season. They’ll look to bounce back tomorrow night when they hit the road for a date with the Royals in Armena.
