The Town of Vegreville is asking residents to avoid Vermilion River access points, especially near Kinsmen Park, due to a potential flooding risk this weekend.
Due to recent snowfall and warmer temperatures on the way, water levels may rise another 30 to 40cm, which could lead to flooding. Residents are asked to stay clear of riverbanks and low-lying areas and use caution near all waterways.
