Five out of the top 10 driest cities in Canada are from Alberta, according to World Atlas.
The list released by online geography resource is based on data from Environment and Climate Change Canada, ranking Medicine Hat, Lethbridge, Edmonton, Calgary and Red Deer among the country’s 10 driest cities.
Lethbridge averages about 14-point-7 inches of precipitation a year, while Medicine Hat gets about 13.
Last month Government of Alberta officials reported stronger mountain snowpack this winter could improve river levels and water supplies as spring melt begins.
