Village of Innisfree in shock after learning of potential closure of Delnorte School

Parents and students in the Village of Innisfree are in a state of shock after it was stated at a Buffalo Trails Public School board meeting that a partial or full closure of the Delnorte School is being considered.

After being put to a vote, BTPS has decided to carefully plan Delnorte’s future for the upcoming school year, which may result in a reduction of grades taught at the institution, or a complete closure of the school altogether.

While BTPS also stated that no decisions have been formally made, the community of Innisfree is banding together in an effort to stave off any changes to the school. A community meeting will be held to discuss the potential closure of the Innisfree Delnorte School on Wednesday, February 25th at 7pm at the Innisfree Rec Centre.
