STEP Economic Development Alliance shared its two-year strategic priorities with Elk Point Town Council on August 25th.
Centralized economic development, agriculture, energy, and tourism were key focus areas.
Plans include a regional meat processing feasibility study, waste heat energy projects, and a master trail network to boost tourism. STEP is also targeting investment attraction and regional collaboration with groups like Alberta HUB and Travel Alberta.
Council received a 185-page tourism strategy report and will review it before making any decisions at a future meeting.
