Community trail groups in Alberta are getting a boost from the Trans Canada Trail’s annual Trail Care Grant Program.
A total of $18,750 will support volunteer-led projects like cleanups, sign repairs, tree planting, and rest stop improvements across the province—from Edmonton’s River Valley to the Iron Horse Trail in Spedden. The program aims to keep trails safe and accessible, while strengthening community involvement.
Nationally, $248,000 was awarded to 222 groups this year.
