As of Friday, there were 210 confirmed cases of measles reported across Alberta with 26 reported as being active.
Alberta Minister of Health Adriana LaGrange says the majority of cases are in the centre or southern health zones. LaGrange also announced HealthLink811 will be introducing a dedicated measles hotline to help fast-track people being able to get information about measles.
They also will be expanding their ‘Don’t get measles. Get Immunized’ awareness campaign in the middle of the month. The campaign will run across radio, print, digital, and social media platforms and be translated into over 14 languages.
