Town of Smoky Lake launching new program thanks to funding from Alberta government

The Town of Smoky Lake is launching a two-year Newcomer Navigation Supports Program thanks to a $211,520 grant from the Alberta government.

The initiative aims to help new residents access services, build community connections, and promote inclusion. A newcomer navigation facilitator will lead the program, working with local organizations to improve information sharing and support integration.

The program begins this spring and complements regional efforts to attract and retain newcomers.
