Canada could be hit by another strike by postal workers later this month.
Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers are holding negotiations today to see if progress can be made on a new contract.
The current one expires on May 22nd, and Canada Post is warning it’s preparing for disruptions up to, and including, a full-scale walkout.
The month-long strike by the union last fall ended just before Christmas, when the Canada Labour Relations Board ordered the workers back to their jobs following a request by then-Labour Minister Steven MacKinnon.
An industrial inquiry commission has been looking into the structural issues of the dispute, and is to issue its report on May 15th.
