Charges have been laid after a break-in at an oilfield site near Highway 640 and Range Road 61.

Vermilion RCMP say two suspects were seen fleeing the scene on April 29th, and with help from Kitscoty RCMP, a police dog unit, and drone technology, one man was arrested.

Christopher Swindlehurst, 47, of Whitecourt, is facing multiple charges including break and enter, resisting arrest, and theft. He’s been released and will appear in Lloydminster court on May 27th.

Police say the second suspect has been identified and a warrant is on the way.
