The Spring Smile Cookie Campaign from Tim Horton’s began last Monday on April 29th. Proceeds from all cookie sales will go toward Vegreville’s own Community Association for Lasting Success Breakfast Club. The Breakfast Club is a school snack program that provides a mid-morning snack three days a week to over 600 students attending A.L. Horton Elementary School, St. Martin’s Elementary School, and Vegreville Next Step Outreach. All of these snacks are provided universally to students at no cost to families. CALS Executive Director Jenn Dixon says she was thrilled to have the program be chosen by the local Tim Horton’s for support.
Dixon adds that this program could not be possible without the tireless efforts of local volunteers.
She also wishes to thank the Vegreville Tim Horton’s for their continuing support of the Breakfast Club, along with the numerous donors and financial support from schools and parents.
Those looking to participate in the Tim Horton’s Smile Cookie Campaign may do so at the Vegreville Tim Horton’s location until Sunday, May 5th.
