Lamont County Issues Fire Ban Amid Hazardous Conditions In The Region

A fire ban has been issued for Lamont County effective as of April 23rd at 2:30pm. This ban is due to the extreme fire hazard conditions in the region. A new Off-Highway restriction has also been added, meaning no person shall operate an Off-Highway Vehicle on Municipal Property, Permitted Used Area, or trail in Lamont County while the restriction is active.

The fire ban is in effect for all Lamont County rural areas, including hamlets. The following municipalities are also currently under a fire ban:

*Lamont County
*Town of Bruderheim
*Town of Lamont
*Town of Mundare
*Village of Andrew
*Village of Chipman
