The Viking Agricultural Society along with the Town of Viking are pleased to host an event filled weekend in May with the Kick Off To Summer Market and Town Wide Garage Sale. The garage sale is open to anyone who would like to participate, and participants can choose to have their sale over one, two, or all three days of the event. Out of town garage sales are also welcome, provided the setup can be done at the Viking Multiplex.
The Kick Off To Summer Market will also be happening that weekend and will feature a variety of vendors and retailers selling fresh vegetables, home decor, and jewelry. Vice-President of the Viking Ag Society Kerri Davis says this is the very first year for the market, and hopes that the members of the community will be just as excited as she is to see it happen.
Other activities planned for the weekend include two pancake breakfasts hosted by both the Viking Golf Course and Viking Historical Society, and a barbecue hosted by Viking Minor Ball. The Town Wide Garage Sale will take place throughout the Town of Viking Friday May 24th, Saturday, May 25th, and Sunday, May 26th. The Kick Off To Summer Market will take place Saturday, May 25th and Sunday, May 26th at the Viking Multiplex from 10am to 4pm.
