Vegreville Agricultural Society Receives Funds To Revitalize Grandstand

The Vegreville Agricultural Society is excited to announce that they have received the Agricultural Societies Infrastructure Revitalization Program Grant. The Grant is provided by the Government of Alberta to help repair and maintain existing agricultural infrastructures. President of the Society Alan Baxandall says the organization is thrilled to have received this funding to help extend the life of Vegreville’s covered grandstand.

With this Grant, the Agricultural Society will be replacing all of the lumber on the grandstand with new OSHA laminated plank boards. Baxandall adds that these necessary repairs will help maintain the structure for many years to come.

The project will cost over $140,000 to complete, with $100,000 of the funds being provided by the Revitalization Grant.
